CERN

The most complex story in the universe

Experience creation brought to life

What is the universe made of? How did it start? At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers probe the fundamental structure of the universe. They use the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments to study the basic constituents of matter. In a world where knowledge and experience are largely curated via the internet, our challenge was to take the CERN experience on the road and interact with an intelligent and demanding audience. Indeed, our segmentation considered the diverse range of visitors from the deep-dive enthusiast to experience seekers, family-makers or the person seeking some social or me-time.

The experience delivers an immersion in the seemingly impenetrable world of CERN’s cutting edge technology.  It takes the visitor on a dramatic journey from the ‘Big Bang’ to present day, explaining some of science’s most difficult concepts in a clear, approachable and exciting story. The latest technologies and cutting edge design bring the story to life, which coupled with a unique film that explains the creation of the universe, deliver an unforgettable visitor experience.
